OROS releases NVGate V18, streamlining noise and vibration testing workflows
Parallel Workflow with Dual NVGate Instances
A common frustration for testing teams is that data acquisition and analysis compete for the same workstation, forcing engineers to pause interpretation until a live session is over. NVGate V18 now enables simultaneous live measurement and offline post-analysis on a single PC. This delivers an uninterrupted parallel workflow, eliminating the need to carry a second PC or purchase secondary software licenses just to keep work moving.
Because OROS analyzers use dedicated onboard DSPs for the Online mode, acquisition and real-time computation are safely offloaded to the hardware. The user can safely carry out comprehensive analyses of saved data in Office mode—building customer-ready plots or generating heavy reports—with zero risk of dropping crucial live data frames as they are being recorded simultaneously.
"Our customers are running longer tests and tighter validation schedules, so the time between measurement and decision is critical," states Nicolas Denisot, Presales and Application Engineer at OROS. "With Dual Instances, NVGate V18 allows your measurement to stay live in Online mode while you review, post-process, and report in Office mode - all on the same PC, under a single license, with zero compromise on real-time reliability. You double your workflow, not your license fees."
Broader Range for Rotating Machinery Analysis
For rotating-machinery testing, NVGate V18 introduces an 8 × expansion of the dynamic rotational speed range for Synchronous Order Analysis (SOA), increasing the tracking ratio from 64 to 512. The user now benefits from fewer split measurements and manual workarounds. Engineers can now keep a single SOA setup valid much further into the low-speed end of a spool-down or coast-down event, gaining a continuous, phase-accurate picture of the machine's behavior without extra post-processing.
Practical Tools and Loyalty Rewards
To further remove friction from the daily workflow, NVGate V18 includes practical updates designed to speed up setup and enhance field autonomy:
Pre-Loaded Sensor Library: Common industry accelerometers, proximity probes, microphones, and impact hammers are now pre-filled in the database. By skipping manual entries, users avoid repetitive tasks and costly scaling errors, ensuring mixed-skill teams get to a valid measurement faster.
Loyalty Reward Upgrades: Customers updating their software or upgrading existing hardware receive the complimentary D-Rec module at no cost. This turns the analyzer into a true standalone recorder, freeing technicians from carrying fragile laptops into harsh industrial environments. Additionally, customers who already own the Diag module receive the Time Domain Analysis (TDA) module for free, providing better time-domain visibility to screen for early bearing and gearbox defects.
