With the release of C-NCAP 2027 Management Regulations earlier this year, a new test procedure titled ‘Driver Seat Whiplash Test with Pre-braking’ has been introduced in Appendix J: Low-Speed Rear Impact Neck Protection Test Evaluation Protocol.  

During the initial phase of the 2027 edition, this procedure will be implemented as a monitoring item. It is planned to transition to a scored evaluation item at an appropriate stage, taking into account technological developments and industry readiness.
