Test generation and validation software for accelerated random test profiles
Engineers can use the fatigue damage spectrum (FDS) computation to calculate the relative damage a component will experience in the field within a defined period. For vibration test control, they can use the FDS to create a random test profile that is the damage equivalent of the field environment.
The random test generation feature in Vibration Research’s ObserView software is an efficient method for developing random test profiles using the FDS. Engineers can create an accelerated test profile from multiple channels or files. They define the component’s lifetime cycle and the field environments it experiences within that lifecycle. Engineers can set the test duration and confirm the acceptability of the accelerated profile with the ERS tolerance. The result is a test encompassing some or all forms of potential fatigue. The VibrationView control software supports these profiles, making it easy to navigate from analysis to testing.
Random test generation can be used as a validation or test development tool. Engineers can graphically represent relationships between environments or develop test profiles from them for product development.
